Ullens School offers a multi-faceted and balanced curriculum within the framework of the Nepal Government’s National Curriculum. The School delivers this curriculum through the Bank Street approach to teaching, in partnership with Bank Street College of Education, New York, a pioneer in innovative and progressive education.

Our teachers create a hands-on interactive environment in the classroom. Through teamwork, students learn the value of cooperation as a problem-solving technique.

English is the primary medium of instruction, but students learn to speak both Nepali and English fluently and to write in both languages. In addition, opportunities are available for students who wish to study Mandarin.  Students learn to organize their ideas clearly and concisely whether they are speaking or writing.

Students learn mathematics through problem-centered experimentation. In science and social studies classes, teachers begin instruction with what students already know about their world, then continue to explore the subjects through ‘hands on’ activities, textbooks and resource materials. Field trips are an essential part of this kind of learning.

Computer education begins in grade one so that children can be prepared for meaningful communication in the 21st century world.

We nurture creativity through arts classes. Students draw, paint and model clay in the fine arts classes and they develop confidence through the performing arts, both through singing and playing musical instruments. Physical education classes are also available.

Students expand their academic and social horizons through educational field trips and co/extra curricular activities.

Ullens School also follows the International Baccalaureate Curriculum at the High School level.
