Ullens Eco-Club in Patan Durbar Cleanliness Effort
Members
of Ullens Eco-Club participated in a 2-hour long cleanup program in the
historic Patan Durbar Square on November 30, 2011. With the theme of “Know Your
Heritage, Conserve Your Heritage,” the members of the club also engaged with
the public on different awareness raising activities. Every member of the club was
very excited to be contributing to the cleanliness and preservation efforts of
such a historic sight. The public also greatly appreciated the club's efforts
to make the Durbar Square Cleaner.
The club has been conducting different environmental awareness and conservation activities since its formation last year. It has initiated and been running the paper recycling centre at Ullens School which has already seen recycled paper products used in making greeting cards, invitations and project works both in school and IBDP. It has also been conducting different clean up and awareness programs both inside and outside the school campus.
