STUDENT ADMISSION




POLICY:


Ullens School admits students of any race, color, religion, and/or ethnic origin. The school does not discriminate against a student on the basis of race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies.


ADMISSION PROCEDURE:



Parents/guardians who wish to admit their child to Ullens School need to do the following in the order indicated below.

Step 1: Contact the Admissions Office to set an appointment with the Principal/ Vice Principal for a school tour and Open House discussion.

Step 2:
If you find Ullens School your right choice, contact the Accounts Office to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500. The admission package is available in the Admissions Office. The student admission process begins each year from December 1st.

Step 3: Fill out the Application form and submit it to the Admissions Office. The Admissions Office will set the date and time for an Admission Interview. Both parents/guardians and the child will be interviewed.

Step 4: After interviewing parents/ guardians and child, if the Admission Committee is in doubt about the child's placement then the child's academic ability may be tested. Parents/ guardians will be notified by telephone if the child is accepted. A formal acceptance letter is sent to the parents / guardians. Parents / guardians whose child is not accepted will receive a letter explaining the reasons for non-admittance.
Note: If a student's admission is unsuccessful, but the parents/guardians still wish to make an attempt for a placement for their child, then they have the right to appeal to the Ullens School's Management Committee. The Admissions Office explains this procedure to the parents/ guardians.


Step 5: When a student is accepted, parents/guardians have to admit the child within the given dates to reserve their placement. If the child is not admitted within the given date, the opportunity will be given to the child on the waiting list.

Step 6: All parents/guardians whose children are accepted are required to attend parent's orientation event organized by the school. Parents/guardians will be provided a Parent's Handbook at this meeting.
